Rachel needed multiple deliverables for her 2018 media projects. This included a new logo for her Zentimentality blog and media company and an avatar for her podcast with fellow therapist and collaborator Stephanie A. Jones.
Logo Development
The Zentimentality logo needed to play on the pun of the name without too much humor. Inspired by the culture of Mindfulness in Zen Buddhist practice, Rachel wanted a logo that derived from it. The solution were two logo marks, one being a lotus that is also a stylus and a monumental “Z” rock garden.

Talk Therapy Podcast Avatar
Rachel and collaborator Stephanie needed an avatar for their Millennial centered podcast Talk Therapy. Her specific request was to create portraits of her and Stephanie in the “Zenmoji” style of smart phone characters. To build on this request and the format of the show, I put these characters in a “coffee talk” format. The name “Talk Therapy” was also something I developed for Rachel after brainstorming for a catchy name that also simply described the nature of the podcast.
