Hello. I'm Brittany. I'm a freelance designer and illustrator with a BFA in Art Education from the University of Georgia and a Graduate Certificate in Design from Portfolio Center. I also teach Information Design at Portfolio Center and I'm known for wearing cat-eye glasses.
I live in the Atlanta area with my two dogs. We enjoy hikes, "patio hangs" and general nerding out in our little home. We also live with too many books, records, video games, art supplies and musical instruments. It's kind of a crowded home, but a happy one.
By night I make art as my alter-ego, GABEAUX. My art includes hand pulled screen prints, ink drawings, paintings and whatever else I have the supplies to make. On the weekends I sell my art at open air markets. GABEAUX art is also available online and at the coolest stores in Atlanta. Check out all of that at Gabeaux.net.
In general, I choose to do the things I do because I love them or the people I do them with. As cheesy as it sounds, love is a guiding principle for my career. In my mind, life is too short to do things you feel like you're supposed to do when you know what it is you need to do. Whether it's design or art, business or personal, I love the work.
If you would like to reach out, say hello, check out my info. Thanks for visiting!
